License

Mono gives you code, not a subscription. Here is what you may do with it, in plain words. Every component page shows whether it is free or paid.

This is a draft and may still change.

Free components

Free components are released under the MIT License. Use them in anything, personal or commercial, for yourself or for clients. Change them, ship them, keep the copyright notice in the files.

Paid components

A paid component is bought once, by one person or one team seat. The purchase gives you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to:

  • use the component in unlimited projects, including client work and products you sell;
  • modify it to fit your project;
  • receive every future update of that component.

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense or redistribute the component on its own or as part of another component library, template, UI kit, theme or similar product where the component itself is the thing being sold;
  • share your license key or the source files with people outside your team;
  • present the component as your own work in a library of effects.

Compiled and bundled output of your own site or app is yours to distribute freely. The restriction is on handing out the source as a reusable component, not on using it.

Teams

One license covers one person. A team that wants several people editing the component source buys one license per person, or a team bundle when that exists.

Pictures and sample assets

Sample pictures shown in the previews are for the preview only. The orchid photo is by Brigitte Elsner on Unsplash under the Unsplash License. Bring your own picture for anything you publish.

Exports and AI prompts

Code you copy, PNG stills you download and prompts you generate from a component you are licensed for are covered by that component's license. The prompt may be pasted into any AI tool; the code it carries keeps its license.

Refunds and warranty

Preview and customize every component in full before buying; that is the demo. Because the source is delivered immediately, purchases are not refundable except where the law requires it. The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind.

Questions

Write to the address in the footer. The short version: use it freely in your work, do not resell it as a component.
